Happy June everyone!
I hope that with school being out and summer being
here that everyone is safe and staying busy with many wonderful things because
there are far too many better and best things to be doing to fill all of our
time with just good things.
My last few days in Edmond were great and I will
always love and miss that heavenly place but I have been welcomed into another
magnificent and heavenly area here in Lawton.
Elder Dutson and I have definitely been staying
busy down here in Lawton with so many better and best things but of course, we
are not perfect and are always working on repenting and striving to do those
best things which are pleasing to God.
We were able to see many miracles this week as
Michael, Marquise, Brittany, Tavion, and Darwina all accepted to be baptized on
July 9th. I am amazed at how the Lord has prepared so many people to receive
the Restored Gospel and exercise their faith in Jesus Christ.
Every week I wish I could share with you all of the
miracles that happen because they are so great but for a bit of a
different miracle:
We were on our way to Lawton coming home from
transfers and we stopped at a place called Jake's Rib. The food was delicious
and we got so much food for hardly any money! That in itself is a miracle!
However, as we were all finishing up, our server informed us that a
man had already paid for all of our meals.
This was such a small but heartfelt miracle and
blessing and a testament to me of the love of God and goodness of His children.
The light of Christ is in us all which allows and enables us to love and serve
in a similar capacity to that which Jesus himself would do.
Keep the faith,
Elder Ricks
